Shzam administrators will review the application. Providing a thorough, complete, and accurate application is important. A background check will be performed for each applicant as well as a review of his or her credentials. If Shzam finds these things to be satisfactory and authentic, the applicant will be accepted and will receive an acceptance email.

Please note that many, if not most, tutors on Shzam are graduate students - students who have earned a Bachelor's Degree and are now pursuing a Master's degree or PhD. These students are very passionate about their topics, extremely knowledgeable, and poorly paid within academia. Almost every tutor on Shzam has a Bachelor's degree.
